LEAP encourages activities that maximize opportunities for participants to build positive relationships with others in their community. Participants have the opportunity to choose activities from a “menu” of activities offered weekly. Small group community inclusion activities are offered, as well as activities that are provided from our newly remodeled space at Shangri-La on Reed Rd.
Activities offered vary weekly and may include: gardening, computer skills, cooking, dance, arts and crafts, painting, hiking, swimming, movies, fishing, exercise, volunteer activities, daily living classes, music, photography, games and many more.
The LEAP space consists of a creativity area for crafts and painting, a coffee bar, a lounge area (with big screen LCD and Wii), and a fully functional internet café. Paid production work is also offered one day per week, when available, to participants who choose this activity from the weekly menu.
