Save the Date: April 3, 2021
Annually, the Saturday before Easter, Shangri-La hosts an Accessible Egg Hunt for individuals with disabilities of all ages and their immediate family members. The event features many modifications that make it more friendly for individuals with disabilities.
The egg hunt activity is reserved for individuals with disabilities of all ages and their immediate family members age 12 years and younger. All are welcome to participate in the non-egg hunt activities, such as the photo booth, games, etc.
GO-AT-YOUR-OWN-PACE EGG HUNT FORMAT
Rather than a single start time for the egg hunt, attendees can come ANYTIME between 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. to hunt for eggs and participate in the other activities.
Accessible space and format: go-at-your-own-pace, paved and grass egg hunt field surfaces, ear muffs provided for sensory sensitivities. Egg buddies available to support attendees. Wheelchair accessible parking. Most surfaces are also wheelchair/walker-friendly.
This event is free. A $1 suggested donation per person is encouraged.
EGG LIMIT + BASKETS
Baskets will be provided. Participants must use the provided basket. Participants can only gather as many eggs that fit in the provided basket. We do our best to make sure everyone gets a few eggs, but at some point, we will run out. We apologize in advance.
Eggs are filled with prizes/trinkets for all ages. Participants can empty their eggs into the provided basket and take the basket with them.
Photos with the Easter Bunny, games, prizes, music and much more!
