REGISTRATION for the capital city cornhole classic has closed. ​

You can still register for the Youth Bracket ($15) and All-Level Singles Bracket ($20) on the day of the tournament. Registration/check-in for these brackets is from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the registration tent.

Featuring competitive, intermediate and social team divisions, as well as single and youth divisions, this tournament is for veteran and beginner players alike. 

The event also offers craft beer, local food trucks, and activities for the whole family, including the Pioneer Trust Bank Cornhole Challenge Course, lawn games, and more.

Why it matters?

This tournament is a fundraiser for Shangri-La, a 501c3 non-profit human services organization helping individuals with disabilities and families with disadvantages reach their full potential. Proceeds from the 2021 tournament will help open a residential treatment home for adults with chronic mental illness.

Masks + COVID-19 Precautions

Per the Governor's order and due to the transmissibility of the Delta variant, regardless of vaccine status and the open-air venue, players and spectators are required to wear a face covering when they are within 6 feet of another attendee, other than those within your immediate household or when you are actively eating or drinking.

If you do not want to comply with this precaution, please do not register to attend. If you have already registered and do not want to comply, please email: community@shangrila-or.org to request a partial refund.

Sanitation stations will be set-up throughout the venue and sanitizing will be done regularly at the score tent, eating area, challenge course, and registration tent.

Food and drink

This year Hooked on Food and Grindz Hawaiian Food Truck will be serving up delicious eats throughout the tournament. Furthermore, Ratchet Brewery will be on-site to meet all of your cold beverage needs.

Comforts

The venue offers many grassy and shady spaces to retreat to between games. Bring your own lawn chairs and pop-up tents. Stakes cannot be used to secure pop-up tents, so please bring an alternative method for securing your tent. Portable restrooms and trash receptacles are available on-site. 

Parking

Free, on-street parking is available on many of the streets around the venue. 

Lodging

The Best Western Plus Mill Creek Inn is offering Cap City players a special room rate of $132/night. Book before August 12 to secure this rate. To make your reservation, call the hotel at (503) 585-3332 and request a room with the Shangri-La Capital City Cornhole Classic rate.

ADVANCED TEAM DIVISION 

in partnership with RALI-Oregon

Who should play in this division? This player can execute sliding the bag and airmailing the bag as needed. Player fully understands game strategy and likely plays and practices on a regular basis. 

Scoreholio SPR: 60 and above.

ACL Dekaround: 71-120.

ACL Skill Level: Advanced, Competitive

FORMAT

Pick your own partner. Bring your own bags (cannot be corn or powder filled). 5 game guarantee. Teams are blind drawn into a section for round robin play. The top 2-4 teams (depending on how many sections we fill) from each section advance to a double elimination bracket. Teams are blind drawn into the double elimination bracket. 

SCORE REPORTING

Due to limited internet connectivity and power at the venue, teams are required to manually report their score to a scoring tent immediately after each match.

PRICE AND REGISTRATION

Early Bird: $80 (July 6 - August 15)

Regular Price: $90 (August 16 - September 3)

Registration includes a player swag bag and t-shirt discount code (sent in registration confirmation email). Registration closes September 3 at 10 p.m.

INTERMEDIATE TEAM DIVISION

Who should play in this division? This player generally understands game strategy, but may struggle with consistency. At times this player looks like they can beat anyone, but then in a subsequent game or round can struggle. This player has a feel for the distance needed to toss the bag, but can be erratic in getting the bag to consistently be in the middle of the board.

Scoreholio SPR: 59 and below

ACL Dekaround: 31-70

ACL Skill Level: Competitive, Intermediate

FORMAT

Pick your own partner. Bring your own bags (cannot be corn or powder filled). 5 game guarantee. Teams are blind drawn into a section for round robin play. Who should play in this division? This player has limited experience with the game and usually has very little control over where the bag is going. Some players have a feel for the distance needed to toss the bag, but can be erratic in getting the bag to consistently be in the middle of the board.

ACL Dekaround: 30 and below

ACL Skill Level: Intermediate, Novice

FORMAT

Pick your own partner. Bring your own bags. 3 game guarantee. Teams play one warm-up game and then are blind drawn into a double elimination bracket. 

SCORE REPORTING

Due to limited internet connectivity and power at the venue, teams are required to manually report their score to a scoring tent immediately after each match.

Regular Price: $50 (August 16 - September 3)

SINGLES BRACKET

Prefer to play solo. Didn't advance to the bracket in your division, but want to keep playing? Register to play in the singles bracket in the afternoon. This bracket is open to all skill levels.

Bring your own bags. 2 game guarantee. Max 24 players are blind drawn into a double elimination bracket. 

SCORE REPORTING

Due to limited internet connectivity and power at the venue, players are required to manually report their score to a scoring tent immediately after each match.

PRICE AND REGISTRATION

$20 per player. You can pre-register for this bracket until September 3 at 10 p.m. or you can register on the day of the tournament (spots pending).

YOUTH BRACKET

Youth ages 8-15 and all skill levels are invited to play in our youth bracket. 

FORMAT

Bring your own bags. 2 game guarantee. Max 16 players are blind drawn into a double elimination bracket.
