About the event
Mental health recovery takes more than four walls and a roof, but it's a good start.Â
Let's get started together.Â
This year’s Better Together event -- a ~30 minute virtual video experience -- focuses on raising awareness about the need for additional residential treatment home for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Currently, there are not enough of these homes to meet community need.
These homes provide the support, safety, and stability necessary for individuals with complex life experiences to achieve and maintain recovery. Individuals learn to make healthy choices, practice life skills, engage in meaningful activities, and build positive relationships --all things that can prevent or extend the time between crises.
Attending the virtual event is easy.
You can stream the Better Together video anytime (24/7) May 17-23 from an internet-connected desktop, laptop, or mobile device.
Simply go to: www.shangrilaoregon.org/bettertogether and click the play button on the video viewer. Closed captioning provided via the YouTube platform.
Hosted showings truly make it, Better Together.
